An excellent selection of short, dark fiction. Each of the eleven stories is well paced, nicely written, and there's some surprising twists. Highly recommended! (reviewed within a week of purchase)

A wonderful collection of dark fiction tales. I thought all the stories were good, some great and one in particular, brilliant. Well worth the read and I hope to see more published. 5 stars from me. (reviewed within a week of purchase)

If you get stuck, get away from your desk. Take a walk, take a bath, go to sleep, make a pie, draw, listen to music, meditate, exercise; whatever you do, don't just stick there scowling at the problem. But don't make telephone calls or go to a party; if you do, other people's words will pour in where your lost words should be. Open a gap for them, create a space. Be patient. HILARY MANTEL
The best way is always to stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day when you are writing a novel you will never get stuck. - ERNEST HEMINGWAY
Don't look back until you've written an entire draft, just begin each day from the last sentence you wrote the preceding day. This prevents those cringing feelings, and means that you have a substantial body of work before you get down to the real work which is all in . . . the edit. WILL SELF
